Serenity Spirit Sea Burials provides ash scattering services at sea off the Oregon-Washington coast near the mouth of the mighty Columbia River. The location is by far the one of the most beautiful and majestic places on God's created Earth, ideal for your loved ones final resting place.

As you may know, cremations and the scattering of cremated remains at sea has become a more affordable and attractive alternative to land burials in recent years. Serenity Spirit Sea Burials offers our service at the lowest cost possible in order to help lighten the financial burden and stress associated with the passing of your loved one.

The disbursement cost is $250 and includes a frameable certificate stating name, date of birth, date of death, latitude and longitude of disbursement, wind direction, water temperature, and sea conditions. For an additional cost of $25 you can purchase a biodegradable wreath to be disbursed with the ashes.

This will be an unattended ceremony performed by the captain and crew of the vessel. You can be assured that your loved ones remains will be treated respectfully and ceremoniously as they are scattered abroad.

The journey begins from the port of Ilwaco, Wa at the mouth of the Columbia River. From there, we cross the Columbia River Bar, at times known to be one of the most powerful and intimidating stretches of water in the world. Once over the bar, we travel a short distance off shore and scatter your loved ones ashes. If you desire we can also scatter the ashes in the Columbia River. The scatterings take place within view of pristine forests and mountainous hillsides of both Oregon and Washington State.
